The Breakfast Table

The breakfast corner at Maison Felix: croissants, fruit tiers, juices on ice, a lemon water dispenser and coffee urn on a two-sided counter under a dark shelf, lamps lit against terracotta walls

A morning spread laid out under the lamps: warm croissants, fruit on woven tiers, cold-pressed juices on ice, yogurt and fresh coffee.

Breakfast at Maison Felix is laid out the way a friend would set a sideboard: croissants and pastries in wicker baskets, oranges, grapes, apples and bananas stacked on woven tiers, cold-pressed juices kept on ice beside Greek yogurt and little jars of jam. Glass jars of almonds, pistachios and mixed nuts line the shelf above, and at the end of the counter there is lemon water and fresh coffee. The lamps stay lit against the terracotta walls, so the morning starts warm. Help yourself, fill a plate, and carry it out to the courtyard or back to your room.
